This unique Azilal rug has a looser weave and a flatter pile, giving it a light and airy feel underfoot. Unlike denser versions, the texture of this rug is less compact, making it appear more textural and organic.

A light base with elegant brown lines.

The background is a light cream-ecru colour and the main decoration consists of irregular, curled lines in a deep brown shade. These lines are reminiscent of serpents in a mountain landscape, introducing dynamism and natural character while maintaining an extremely elegant, minimalist palette of just two colours.

Limited to the colours of natural wool and deep brown, the carpet exudes calmness, balance and sophistication. This colour choice makes the pattern both distinct and elegant, making it ideal for classic, subdued interiors.

Like all Azilal rugs, it is handwoven by women from the Azilal region using traditional techniques passed down through the generations. Each line and curve tells the personal story of the weaver and may depict landscapes, daily experiences or inner reflections.
